About Facts Nero

Facts Nero is a space channel on YouTube and this website. We explain space facts, probes, rockets, stars and missions: where Voyager 1 is now, why Buran flew only once, what would happen if an asteroid hit Earth.

Most articles here are written from one of our videos. The article goes further than the video can, and every claim in it is checked again before it is published. Some articles are written from research alone, for news that has no video yet. Each article says which it is in its “About this article” note.

How we check facts

We check each fact against a primary source, such as the space agency, observatory or research paper behind it, and look for a second, independent source. If only one source says something, the article says who said it. If we cannot check a claim, we leave it out. When an article finds a mistake in our own video, it says so and gives the correct version. Read the full sources and corrections policy.

Images

We only use images we are allowed to use: public-domain pictures from space agencies, and images under open licences such as Creative Commons, always with their credit. We do not use agency logos, and we do not present our work as coming from any space agency.
